idk maybe when i read the story i had other things going on jumbling up my mind but when i read it it seemed to me he wasnt feeling that bad off he seemed almost optimistic about his situation to me.. but maybe i just need to re read it
I don't think so. I think he does have a very optimistic attitude about his situation. The picture just made me think of the moments he didn't talk about but must have witnessed. An eleven-year-old witnessing suicide, deaths from disease, being malnutritioned, away from anyone he knows, separated from his family (especially his sister). It must have been awful.
