To preface your reading of Walter Dean Meyers’ Fallen Angels, you will be completing mini-research projects on topics related to Vietnam and this novel.

Ø Map of Vietnam (include Chu Lai, Tam Ky, Tan Son Nhut, Song Nha Ngu River (Casey and Brandon)
Ø Causes and Effects of Vietnam War (make this clear and concise) (Ally and Julian)
Ø US Protests of Vietnam War (cover soldiers’ views as well) (Andrew and Kathryn)
Ø Race issues affecting US Soldiers in Vietnam (changes in the drafting process) (Chelsea and Landen)
Ø Health problems facing American soldiers in Vietnam (include Agent Orange and napalm, physical and mental health issues (PTSD), homelessness) (Sarah and Raleigh)

Each of your presentations needs to be interesting and informative as well as visually appealing. You will have one FULL BLOCK (Wednesday) to work on this and then you will present them Thursday after your synthesis timed write. You will present in the order the topics appear on this list.

Tonight's assignment: Find at least ONE source and PRINT IT OUT about your assigned topic. You only have one block to do this project, so if you have a light load tonight, I would do some internet surfing. Cowabunga dude.
