a little help please!
okay so i want to talk about cross-eyed johnny as garys conscience but i dont know what catagory to put that under like imagery or syntax.. its really hindering me from progressing with this essay! and can i use allusions as a topic like when he talkes about adam and eve? this is giving memore trouble than i thought it would when i was in class!

hey i think that you can use allusions as a type of language device just like u would use diction or detail... i might not be right but thats what i'm doing. and then with cross-eyed johnny i wouldn't use that with syntax because its not really sentence structure, but thats just me, i guess i would use it as detail
Make your own category! Remember, write about what you see. If you see allusions then say that Soto uses Biblical allusions to aid in conveying his guilt. If you see CEJ as his conscience, I would call that a symbol. Symbolism is, like Ally said, just another type of language device like diction or detail. Those fifteen were only suggestions. For this essay, you have obviously found things that work much better to prove your case. Go with it. I think both of those ideas are strong-kudos!
